Portrait Drawing

Hi everyone. I hope you are having an amazing week so far. I wanted to pull up with an art tutorial on portrait drawing without reference. Trust me following these quick step by step procedure you will be a good at portrait-sketching as well.

First, start with a circle to obtain the shape of the skull, then draw a vertical line in the middle for symmetrical proportions. Second, then sketch the jawline and chin, this will determine the shape of the face as well.

Draw guidelines for the eyebrows, eyes, nose, upper and lower lip. I usually start by drawing the nose then move to eyebrows. Eventually, start the different features by adding geometric shapes.

Fill in the geometric shapes with the organic shapes upon the forms of the eyes mouth, etc. Gently erase the marking and reference lines, add any hair style and your portrait if ready for rendering.
